1. 言葉と話し手の威厳を認識する

- ⟦T0⟧ That God—eternal in power, unlike His creation—speaks in a language His servants can understand is a great mercy and grace. This is expressed as "Revelation is a divine condescension."

- ⟦T2⟧ Just as a human descends to an animal's level of understanding to communicate with it (making simple sounds), so God has created speech suited to human understanding's limits. Yet this does not mean God's attribute of speech consists only of this.
2. Presence of Heart (Ḥuḍür al-Qalb) and タダブール
For the heart to be occupied with other matters during recitation is regarded as one of the greatest disrespects toward the One addressed.
- Seriousness and タジャルード: In accordance with the verse "O John, take the Book with strength," one must turn to the Qurʾān with seriousness, detached (タジャルード) from all human preoccupations.
- Tadabbur (ディープ反射): To follow up on the verse read, to strain the mind to reach its essence. タルチル (slow, measured reading) is an outward means that enables タダブール. In ʿAlī's words: "No good comes from worship without reflection, nor from recitation without タダブール."
3. Four Spiritual Veils Obstructing Understanding (ムアーニハト)
Four fundamental veils, spread by Satan, that prevent the human heart from opening to the Qurʾān's secrets are mentioned:
